Now here is some good news for the travel industry in the US as the FAA have been bold enough to forecast that key airspace safety and efficiency modernization efforts will in fact help spur on long term growth in US air travel, which will have a general knock on effect for the rest of the US economy.
Following a short-term term of slow growth in air travel, the need for a new generation of air transport and further investment in airport infrastructure projects are now forecast, according to the FAA.
In a recent statement Ray LaHood, the US Transport Secretary was quoted as saying that “A safe, efficient and vibrant aviation system is vital to the health and prosperity of our nation’s economy” .
So travel will be around for a few more years to come, which is a real relief – that’s if we are to believe the US transport secretary. Carry on dreaming and starting making your future travel plans for the years to come.
